The ICLVR is grateful to WAVE Trauma Centre for the support and assistance they have provided to the families of the disappeared.

More information on the work of WAVE can be found on the WAVE website. WAVE is a voluntary organisation founded in 1991 to support people bereaved or traumatised though the troubles.

Through WAVE, the families of the disappeared have been meeting together since 1997. WAVE has also assisted in organising a yearly remembrance mass held on Palm Sunday as well as organising regular meetings with the families and between the families and the Commission.
